8BitDo Ultimate 3E modular Xbox controller arrives
Unleash Your Custom Command: 8BitDo Launches Modular Xbox Controller
Gaming peripherals are constantly evolving, and the desire for total control and personalization is only growing stronger. Into this dynamic landscape, 8BitDo has made a bold entrance by launching the Ultimate 3E Controller for Xbox across the UK and Europe, offering gamers a device that is not just a controller, but a customizable command center.
This isn’t just another controller; it’s a modular experience designed for those who demand customization. At the heart of the Ultimate 3E is the ability to tailor the controller precisely to individual playstyles, featuring swappable modules and a dedicated travel case for organized storage.
The real magic lies in the modular design. Enthusiasts can instantly swap out components, allowing for deep personalization. Players have the freedom to choose between silicone or micro-switch ABXY modules, fit either standard or circular D-pads, and select from various thumbstick heights and profiles, ensuring perfect ergonomic comfort.
Built for grip and precision, the controller features a wider grip angle and silicone side grips. Internally, the design incorporates TMR thumbsticks paired with a sophisticated 12-bit ADC sampling chip, all complemented by customisable RGB Fire Rings that add a vibrant touch to any setup.
For PC gamers, the performance is equally impressive. When connected via the 2.4GHz wireless link, the controller delivers a blistering polling rate of up to 1000Hz, coupled with full 6-axis motion controls. Physical inputs are robust, featuring Hall-effect impulse triggers with dual trigger stops, two quick-action bumpers (L4 and R4), and two remappable rear buttons.
To manage this power, users are guided by the 8BitDo Ultimate Software X. This software allows for granular adjustments, letting players tweak stick sensitivity, remap inputs, and fine-tune vibration levels to achieve peak performance.
Powering this custom experience is a convenient charging dock, which tops up the internal battery and provides up to 18 hours of continuous play, meaning your custom rig stays powered up for marathon sessions.
With these features—modular face buttons, advanced TMR sticks, and a handy charging dock—the Ultimate 3E positions itself as a truly well-equipped option for both Xbox and PC players. Available now, the controller is priced competitively at £124.99 in the UK and €139.99 in Europe.
