A recent nomination drive asked PC Gamer readers to submit their most terrifying PC horror experiences. The sheer volume of submissions was staggering, collecting sixteen entries that instantly sparked a fever pitch among gamers worldwide.
After two intense rounds of voting, the field was dramatically narrowed down to just four finalists. The stakes are now set: these remaining games will face off in a final battle to determine the undisputed champion of PC horror, a title set to be announced this Halloween.
The bracket has been set, pitting some of the most iconic survival horror titles against each other. Among the intense matchups is the showdown between the masterworks of psychological terror: Amnesia: The Bunker versus Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
Meanwhile, the titans of atmosphere are clashing in a rivalry for the crown. Silent Hill 2 is set to battle the chilling isolation of Alien: Isolation.
The competition between the atmospheric dread of Dead Space and Silent Hill 2 is also locked in a head-to-head. Interestingly, the vote counts reveal a fierce preference for one contender; Silent Hill 2 secured a slight edge over Dead Space, with 614 votes compared to Dead Space‘s 602 votes.
