The anticipation for Arc Raiders is reaching a fever pitch as Embark prepares to deliver a monumental update with the upcoming Frozen Trail. This isn’t just a patch; it promises a significant overhaul of the gameplay experience, introducing features designed to inject fresh excitement and strategic depth into the world of Raiders.

Players can expect a host of tantalizing new mechanics, including a temporary PvE mode that offers a different strategic challenge, dynamic loot hotspots that shift and evolve the game’s landscape, and a long-awaited opportunity for players to build their own home base on Topside. Furthermore, the update introduces a vast array of new items and arcs, promising endless material for exploration and customization.

While the focus is clearly on expanding the game’s world, the fight against unfair play remains a critical front for the development team. Addressing the issue of rampant cheating has been a persistent concern, and Embark has taken decisive steps to reinforce the integrity of the experience for every Raider.

Aleksander Grøndal, the executive producer, made it clear that cheating fundamentally undermines the challenge and fun of the game. He emphasized that Embark treats the ongoing battle against unfair play with the utmost seriousness, dedicating significant time and resources to improving their defenses.

The anti-cheat efforts are evolving constantly, mirroring the methods of those attempting to exploit the system. Cheat makers constantly adapt, and so do the developers. Embark is actively growing its in-house cheat detection models, built around machine-learning and advanced data analysis, alongside existing tools like Denuvo and Anybrain.

A significant policy shift has also been implemented: permanent bans are now the standard for all known cheat programs. Any account caught using cheats faces an immediate and permanent ban, ensuring that there are no warnings or second chances for repeat offenders.

To further secure the game, Embark is exploring advanced methods, including using hardware bans when sufficient evidence points to a single machine being used for cheating. They are also looking toward incorporating promising technologies, such as Elytra, which is being tested in other titles, to enhance their security protocols.

The commitment is clear: the goal is not just to react, but to make cheating as difficult, costly, and short-lived as possible. Embark believes that by continually improving detection, acting swiftly, and making it harder for repeat offenders to return, they can ensure that the experience for legitimate players remains fair, rewarding, and full of discovery. The future of Arc Raiders is being built on a foundation of both exciting new content and unwavering integrity.
