Battlefield 6 Tidal Strike update launches

The final act of Season 4 for Battlefield 6 has officially begun, launching today with the highly anticipated Tidal Strike update. This massive overhaul isn’t just a simple patch; it’s a whirlwind of new content, expanded gameplay modes, and incredible incentives designed to keep players engaged and diving deeper into the fray.

The Tidal Strike update rolls out across Battlefield 6, Battlefield REDSEC, and Portal, setting the stage for a month-long series of exciting activities. Players are set to unlock fresh playlists, participate in limited-time events, and explore new avenues of combat.

To welcome new players and give everyone a chance to experience the expanded landscape, Battlefield is offering a week-long free trial from September 15th through September 22nd. During this trial, new recruits can explore maps like Wake Island, Tsuru Reef, Cairo Bazaar, and Hagental Base, alongside core modes such as Conquest, Escalation, and the Deep Six Event Playlist. This trial is perfectly timed, running parallel to a Double XP weekend to accelerate progress for both newcomers and veterans alike.

Beyond the immediate gameplay, the update significantly expands the world of Portal. The familiar modes are getting a major boost with the introduction of King of the Hill and Domination as new Verified Modes, allowing players to create entirely new custom experiences.

The expansion doesn’t stop there. In Battlefield REDSEC, the mystery deepens with the introduction of the Phantom Program. Squads must venture into Fort Lyndon to hunt for scattered intelligence and access-code fragments, blending tense exploration with high-stakes combat. Successful teams will be rewarded with valuable XP, Weapon Packages, and other coveted items.

The centerpiece of the Tidal Strike event is the Deep Six Collection Event, which will run until October 12th. This grand endeavor challenges players to complete contracts and gather crucial intel devices across both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. The ultimate reward for completing the entire quest is the exclusive Royal Navy Dive Knife skin.

Meanwhile, air combat enthusiasts can look forward to the extension of the Top Gun modes, with Carrier Strike and Fighter Sweep remaining active, providing extended opportunities for high-octane aerial engagements across land, sea, and sky.

Finally, to address player requests, the update also introduces proximity chat testing within REDSEC, a feature that has long been sought after by the community, promising more immersive communication during intense operations. With Phantom Program, the Deep Six event, and the extended modes, Battlefield 6 players have a thrilling month of content waiting to be explored.
