Beat scalpers by preordering the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition
For years, gamers have dreamed of a controller that bridges the gap between beloved history and cutting-edge design. Well, Xbox has finally delivered the dream, offering a special edition that is more than just a gamepad—it’s a celebration of a gaming legacy: the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition.
This isn’t just another controller; it’s a tribute to the 25th anniversary of Xbox, wrapped in a design that immediately captures attention. Adopting a stunning translucent OG Green shell, this controller allows enthusiasts to peer right into the internal components, offering a unique blend of aesthetics and engineering. It taps directly into that sweet spot of nostalgia while providing a fresh, dynamic look for modern gaming.
The design choices are deliberate and playful. Beyond the eye-catching green exterior, the controller incorporates subtle nods to the past. The ABXY buttons match the original Xbox controller, connecting the user directly to gaming history. Even the bumpers feature a classic black and white scheme, reminiscent of iconic designs like the “Duke” controller. The design features a glowing green Xbox button, casting a nostalgic light on the entire experience, and the back panel proudly displays a see-through shot of the classic Xbox logo.
This special edition controller serves as a gorgeous companion to the console itself, especially for those looking to celebrate the new era of Xbox. It pairs perfectly with the stunning Xbox Series X25, making it an essential piece for any dedicated gamer celebrating the platform’s growth.
However, as with any highly anticipated collectible hardware, demand has been astronomical. Unfortunately, the very nature of this highly sought-after item has led to the rise of scalpers, who are attempting to hoard the supply. For those looking to secure this stunning piece and avoid inflated resale prices, securing a pre-order is currently your best bet.
Whether you are diving into the new titles announced at the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2026 or exploring the convenience of the Xbox disc-to-digital program, this controller promises to be a vibrant and memorable tool for your gaming journey. It’s a piece of history, a piece of innovation, and a vibrant piece of fun, all rolled into one.
