Google Issues One-Time Play Credit to Eligible Customers
Google is distributing a one-time credit to eligible customers, stemming from a class settlement related to automatically renewing Google subscriptions. This initiative aims to provide compensation to users who were affected by the subscription renewal process during a specific period.
The credit is specifically targeted at users who paid for at least one renewal term of a Google subscription purchased through the Google Play Store. To qualify for this one-time payout, customers must have made those payments within a defined timeframe.
Eligibility is determined by the transaction dates. Customers who paid for a renewal term of a Google subscription sold via the Google Play Store between May 30, 2014, and October 27, 2019, are included in the group receiving the credit.
This settlement addresses issues surrounding automatically renewing subscriptions, ensuring that eligible users receive appropriate compensation for their participation during this period. Google is taking steps to resolve these matters and extend goodwill to those who were impacted.
