Clear the compound in MW4 DMZ
Stepping into the Modern Warfare 4 DMZ mode immediately throws players into a world of strategic objectives. Among the first missions you’ll face, clearing a compound stands out as a key challenge—a miniature enemy stronghold that demands tactical precision and swift execution.
These compounds are clearly marked on the map with iconic tent and flag symbols, yet they come in varying levels of difficulty. Some compounds are locked away, requiring players to locate the right keys before the fight even begins, while others offer a more straightforward path to victory.
For those looking to jump right into the action with minimal fuss, there are specific locations that offer an easier entry point. We recommend scouting the two compounds situated in Daesong Ridge in the south of the map. These army camps are open to access, meaning players can engage the enemy forces quickly without unnecessary hurdles.
Success in clearing a compound hinges on following a simple, yet crucial, sequence of actions. First, the objective is to eliminate every single enemy within the stronghold. Your progress is visually tracked by the percentage bar on the left side of your screen, which counts up as you conquer the stronghold.
However, simply killing the last soldier isn’t enough. To officially complete the order, you must secure the critical prize: the Medical Extraction Intel. This vital intel is dropped by the final enemy, and successfully extracting it is the final step to claiming the objective.
While you are inside the compound, don’t overlook the potential for hidden treasure. These army camps are treasure troves, featuring safes tucked away in the tower and the main building. Even the smaller barracks often conceal valuable loot within lockers and containers, encouraging players to thoroughly search every corner of the stronghold.
Should you encounter a snag—perhaps enemies seem stuck or elusive—don’t panic. If you cannot locate the final targets, try making some noise to attract their attention, or perform a thorough search of the surrounding areas. If all else fails, pivoting to an alternative compound is always a viable option for continuing your campaign.
