Cooler Master reveals the compact sub-30L Elite 450 case

In the high-stakes world of PC building, the constant battle between performance and physical space is a daily struggle. Yet, a new contender has emerged, promising to redefine the definition of compact computing without sacrificing thermal efficiency: the Cooler Master Elite 450.

This new Micro-ATX chassis is meticulously engineered around the principle of direct air cooling, boasting an incredibly compact footprint of less than 30 litres. It’s designed not just to house mainstream desktop hardware, but to do so in a way that respects the limited desk space that modern builders crave.

The design philosophy centers entirely on airflow efficiency. Cooler Master achieved this by implementing a shortened internal path, ensuring that fresh, cool air is funneled directly toward the components that generate the most heat. This smart architectural choice means that powerful hardware can breathe easier, leading to superior cooling performance.

What makes the Elite 450 truly impressive is its ability to handle substantial components within such a small frame. Inside this streamlined design, builders have the flexibility to install either Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboards. Crucially, the case provides ample clearance, allowing users to fit graphics cards up to 317mm long alongside impressive CPU air coolers that can reach up to 163mm tall.

Beyond its thermal prowess, the Elite 450 delivers a visually appealing package. Featuring a tempered glass side panel, internal components and the integrated ARGB lighting are showcased, turning the PC into a centerpiece. Connectivity is also thoughtfully handled, with the front I/O panel offering essential access to USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports, alongside dedicated audio connections for seamless headset integration.

For those who have been searching for a compact solution that doesn’t compromise on cooling or component size, the Elite 450 offers a compelling answer. It addresses that long-standing dilemma: powerful, air-cooled performance packed into a surprisingly small, yet highly functional, chassis.
