Konami reveals Silent Hill and Castlevania at Gamescom 2026
After taking a deliberate pause from the video games industry, Konami is making a compelling comeback. The publisher has successfully rekindled fan enthusiasm through a series of high-quality releases, including successful remasters and remake projects, proving that their legacy still holds massive appeal.
The recent wave of success includes sophisticated updates to classic franchises, such as the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 2 remasters and highly anticipated remake projects like Silent Hill 2 and the original entry in the Silent Hill series. These efforts have not only honored beloved titles but have further cemented Konami’s position at the forefront of interactive storytelling.
Looking ahead, the company is gearing up for a major return to the industry spotlight. Konami has officially announced its presence at Gamescom 2026, ready to bring its legendary titles to the world’s largest and leading gaming event.
While maintaining a relatively focused schedule this year, the publisher has confirmed exciting new reveals. The biggest announcement is the upcoming trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall, which is slated to be showcased during Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live presentation.
Adding another touch of classic horror nostalgia, Konami will also be showcasing Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse at the event, offering attendees a hands-on opportunity with the first new installment in this celebrated series in over a decade.
The countdown to new gameplay is officially on. Players can look forward to Silent Hill: Townfall launching on September 24th, followed by Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse just a few weeks later on October 15th.
