MW4 Release Times and Early Access Secrets
The Countdown Begins: How to Get Early Access to Modern Warfare 4
Get ready to drop into the fray, because Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is gearing up for a major release, and if you’re a fan of early access and exclusive content, now is the time to strategize your preorders. The full game is set to arrive on October 23 at midnight local time, but for those who want to dive in sooner, the digital preorder offers a tantalizing window into the action.
Activision has rolled out exciting opportunities for dedicated players, allowing those who secure a digital preorder to gain early access to some of the most anticipated modes. This means getting a head start on both the main campaign and the highly sought-after DMZ extraction shooter.
The campaign, a core part of the experience, will be available for early access starting on October 16. This gives players a chance to explore the narrative and engage with the story before the full launch. While Activision hasn’t specified the exact time the campaign will unlock, the opportunity to start exploring the world sooner is a huge bonus for eager gamers.
Adding to the excitement, the revival of the DMZ extraction shooter is also slated for early access. Preordering the game digitally grants early access to this mode starting on October 20. While the exact unlock time for the DMZ remains to be determined, some industry predictions suggest it may become available around 10 am PT (1 pm ET/6 pm BST).
For players preparing their systems, be sure to allocate sufficient space. The game requires 115GB of storage to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted experience. If you are planning to dive into this massive title, checking the official system requirements on the Steam page is the best way to confirm compatibility with your setup.
The PC preload is already live, meaning the digital delivery pipeline is open and ready. As the official release looms, players have a clear roadmap for maximizing their experience, whether they want to catch the campaign narrative early or jump into the high-octane action of the DMZ first. Prepare your digital wallets and get ready for the launch.
