Solasta 2 Gets a Major Upgrade: New Classes, Co-op Adventures, and Deep Customization
For those who enjoy the rich world of adventuring, the upcoming updates to Solasta 2 are set to deliver a significant boost to the experience. The next phase of development is rolling out exciting new mechanics, including a brand-new class and robust multiplayer capabilities that open up endless possibilities for cooperative storytelling.
The initial early access update is already packed with fresh content. It introduces the Warlock class, offering players a new path for their character, alongside two intriguing subclasses: the Timekeeper and the Dreamer. This expansion ensures that players looking for unique character builds will have plenty to explore beyond the traditional options.
Beyond the new class content, the game is focusing heavily on enhancing player freedom and customization. Players can now enjoy expanded options for character aesthetics, including more hairstyles, tattoos, warpaint, and beards. Gameplay depth is also enhanced with options like randomly rolled stats, the ability to make spell component rules optional, and access to roughly 30 additional world events to discover while exploring.
For those who love building an entire adventuring party, the multiplayer features are a game-changer. Up to four players can join a single session, with flexible options for assigning existing characters, creating new ones on the spot, and even splitting control over companions as the adventure progresses. Communication is made smoother with an integrated ping system, ensuring seamless teamwork.
The new Warlock subclasses promise unique strategic gameplay. The Timekeeper is designed to empower allies by accelerating their actions while diminishing enemy reactions, making them swift and formidable. Meanwhile, the Dreamer wields the power of nightmares, capable of inflicting exhaustion and putting foes to sleep, adding a layer of psychological intensity to combat.
This early update, which includes various stability improvements and fixes, is scheduled for release on September 10th. Following this, developers are planning further expansions, including another class, more ancestries, the start of Act Two, an increased level cap, and the introduction of a crafting system, all slated for the final quarter of the year.
