    These beta files, shared through the ASUS ROG forum by overclocker SAFEDISK, include support for “GNR Transparent Secure Memory Encryption,” referencing AMD’s Granite Ridge family of Ryzen 9000 desktop CPUs. The updates are based on AGESA ComboAM5 PI 1.3.0.1b Patch A.

    The rollout impacts various high-end chipset boards, including those based on the X870, B850, and X670 chipsets. Specifically, updates target BIOS versions like 2401 for X870 boards, 1686 for B850 boards, and 3901 or 3886 for X670 models, depending on the specific board design.

    This move suggests that hardware vendors are accelerating the timeline, with the updates potentially arriving ahead of AMD’s official July schedule. While these beta releases offer a promising glimpse into restoring critical memory encryption functionality to many systems, users running production or stability-critical setups are advised to wait for the final, stable BIOS builds before making system-wide changes.
