  • Embark switches up Arc Raiders expeditions again, and this time it’s giving away paid currency and precious blueprints

Are you ready for some big news from the world of Arc Raiders? The developers at Embark have just announced a significant shift in how players earn rewards during the season’s expeditions, signaling that chasing those coveted blueprints is about to become much more rewarding than just trying to be a little bit quicker.

It turns out, the studio is still figuring out the best way to handle expedition wipes, but they’ve found a clever solution. The fourth expedition introduces a change to the main incentive, moving away from permanent extra skill points and centering rewards around premium currency and rare blueprints.

This change reflects what players are truly valuing. Time has shown that for many, unlocking powerful schematics is far more desirable than gaining fractional advantages in speed. In the new format, successfully completing departure objectives now guarantees players 150 Raider Tokens and a valuable blueprint that persists even after a wipe.

How do you earn these blueprints? Players can accumulate 750 Raider Tokens simply by grinding through the five available departure objectives. This token accumulation is roughly equivalent to about $7 of premium currency—a bargain compared to standard store bundles. But the real treasure lies in the blueprints themselves.

These earned schematics are pulled from a pool packed with desirable items, including advanced components and unique weapons. Players can hunt for gems like the Heavy Gun Parts Blueprint, Complex Gun Parts Blueprint, Padded Stock Blueprint, Extended Barrel III Blueprint, and many more rare unlocks such as the Venator, Rascal, Osprey, and Anvil blueprints.

This structure provides a fantastic incentive for continued engagement. As one player noted, this is the second major way Embark has enabled blueprints to make the trip through wipes, offering a tangible head start for future seasons. Even those who haven’t completed the first three expeditions can use existing vault slots to preserve their progress and gain a head start with up to ten blueprints.

The studio acknowledged that balancing rewards is an ongoing process. They understand the frustration experienced by new players trying to catch up, and they are committed to finding the right balance between rewarding veteran players and giving newcomers fair and fun ways to engage with the game.

If you want to jump into this new system, the window for the fourth expedition is currently open from July 7th to July 21st. It’s an excellent time to start collecting those valuable blueprints and tokens as you dive deeper into the world of Arc Raiders.
