The power tool mistake that unlocked cordless freedom
There is a certain satisfaction that comes from taking ownership of your property, and for us, that ownership extends right out to the garden.
We firmly believe that the best way to approach home upkeep is through a little bit of DIY. While hiring professionals is certainly an option, we enjoy the satisfaction of tackling the tasks ourselves, breathing life into our outdoor space with our own hands.
When we moved into the house, we were greeted by a beautiful, established landscape. The previous owners had clearly invested considerable effort in cultivating the grounds, installing a wonderful array of mature shrubs, dense bushes, towering trees, and thoughtful landscaping that gave the property an immediate sense of history and charm.
This existing framework provided a stunning backdrop, and we were fortunate to inherit a space already filled with natural beauty. While we haven’t pursued major planting projects since settling in, we have made it our mission to nurture what is already there.
Our focus has shifted from ambitious new plantings to diligent maintenance. Keeping the lawn lush and healthy, and caring for the existing landscaping, has become a core part of our routine. It’s about preserving that established beauty and ensuring our outdoor environment remains as vibrant and welcoming as it was designed to be.
It’s a constant reminder that true landscaping isn’t just about what you plant, but about the consistent, loving care you give to the space you share.
