Warhammer Dawn of War IV releasing in December
Dawn of War IV is finally coming to console and PC, bringing the sprawling, epic scale of the Warhammer 40,000 universe into a brand new real-time strategy experience.
The wait is almost over. KING Art Games has officially confirmed that Dawn of War IV will launch on December 3rd, though fans of the Commander Edition will get an exclusive head start with early access beginning on November 30th.
This release date follows a period dedicated to refinement. The development team opted for additional time to ensure that the experience delivered to players is as polished and engaging as possible. This extended window allowed them to focus intensely on crucial areas: performance optimization, resolving lingering bugs, gameplay polish, and incorporating valuable feedback gathered from the community playtests.
Jan Theysen, Creative Director at KING Art Games, highlighted this commitment to quality, stating that the extra time was an opportunity to “further enhance Dawn of War IV and deliver the quality of experience we’ve always envisioned.”
Beyond immediate fixes, the studio has unveiled an updated Year One roadmap, promising a rich tapestry of free content for players following the launch. This roadmap ensures that the game will continue to evolve long after release.
Players can look forward to exciting additions such as the return of Crusade Mode, brand-new maps and modes, new Commanders, and an expanded Mission Editor. Furthermore, major story expansions are planned, set to deepen the conflict on Kronus and introduce a completely new playable faction into the fray.
At its core, Dawn of War IV promises to be a massive sci-fi RTS, pitting players against four distinct factions across non-linear campaigns and dynamic multiplayer battles. Beloved modes like Last Stand and Skirmish will remain central to the action as players engage in cosmic conflict.
