Wildwood 4K UHD Blu-ray and streaming release
After more than a decade of anticipation, the stop-motion masterpiece Wildwood has finally stepped out of development hell and onto the big screen, making its highly anticipated debut over the weekend.
This latest cinematic achievement hails from the acclaimed studio Laika, the same creative powerhouse responsible for beloved animated tales such as Coraline, Kubo and the Two Strings, and ParaNorman.
The film brings the whimsical world of the novel by Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis to life through intricate stop-motion artistry. The story centers on Prue, a young girl who embarks on a perilous journey into an enchanted forest with a critical mission: to save her little brother.
The fusion of the authors’ imaginative prose and Laika’s distinctive visual style promises a breathtaking visual experience, deepening the already rich narrative about courage, adventure, and the magic hidden within the wilderness.
