HAVN HS 360 VGPU Case Visual Review

The Evolution of Cooling: Diving into the HAVN HS 360 VGPU

When hardware design hits a sweet spot, innovators are constantly looking for ways to refine and push the boundaries. For those who appreciate a meticulously crafted build, the case market offers compelling examples of evolution. HAVN has recently delivered a compelling update with the HS 360 VGPU, taking the established success of the HS 420 and fine-tuning it for modern demands. This isn’t just a smaller box; it’s a thoughtful refinement that proves you don’t have to sacrifice form for function.

The shift is subtle yet significant. While the HS 360 offers a more compact footprint, the changes are packed with practical upgrades. The design team wisely opted to ditch support for 140mm fans, focusing instead on optimizing the internal structure. This move allows for a considerable reduction in size and weight, making the HS 360 19.4% smaller and 29.5% lighter than its predecessor.

But shrinking doesn’t mean sacrificing capability. The core strength of the HS 360 lies in its enhanced structural integrity and thoughtful internal design. HAVN has integrated features aimed squarely at optimizing the experience for the enthusiast. Key among these is the magnetic Airflow Divider, which is exclusive to the VGPU model and is designed to deliver optimized cooling performance.

Beyond cooling, the focus on cable management is palpable. The system features a SimpliCable routing system, ensuring that the often-tricky task of cable organization is handled cleanly and effortlessly. This, combined with an anti-vibration design across all removable components, establishes the case as a genuinely solid foundation for high-end components.

A major headline feature that appeals to builders is the new support for rear connection motherboards. This is a game-changer for those seeking a minimalist aesthetic, allowing users to build a clean PC with minimal clutter, all while maintaining full ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX compatibility.

The aesthetic refinements are equally striking. The refined UniSheet panoramic glass features a 31.8% tighter bend radius, offering a smoother, more premium look. Furthermore, the enhanced fan bracket now supports rear fan installation, giving users more flexibility in managing their airflow setup.

When it comes to internal capacity, the HS 360 still offers plenty of room. It provides support for seven expansion slots and flexible internal drive bays, accommodating various configurations of 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives. The case boasts generous mounting options for radiators, supporting 360mm configurations on the roof, side, and floor.

To truly test the cooling potential of this refined design, the setup was paired with a demanding system featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor and a Palit RTX 5080 Gamerock OC graphics card. The results confirmed the case’s ability to manage significant heat effectively, demonstrating that the integration of the 360mm AIO cooler and eight 120mm fans delivers strong performance.

Despite the exciting updates, there are always trade-offs. While the build quality is superb and cable management is excellent, prospective buyers should be aware of some minor caveats. The case is priced at £239.99 and does not include any fans. Additionally, some elements require careful handling, particularly the glass components, and some design choices, like the rear fan setup, may impact RGB lighting effects on certain components.

Ultimately, the HAVN HS 360 VGPU stands as a welcome evolution. It balances modern aesthetic demands with robust functionality, offering a significantly lighter, more refined package that successfully champions a clean, efficient, and high-quality build experience.
