This setup managed to transition smoothly, confining players to a specific platform while still giving them a vivid sense of the expansion’s atmosphere. It successfully built an exciting sense of urgency, preparing the world for the epic scale of Evercold.
Ultimately, the patch did not just hint at the future; it delivered the first chapters. By setting the stage so effectively, the final moments of Dawntrail gave players an incredible launchpad, leaving them not just informed, but deeply invested in the narrative unfolding in Evercold.
