Interpol cracks down on West African cyber-scams
In a major international effort to combat digital threats, Interpol recently concluded a sweeping operation aimed at dismantling a sophisticated cybercrime network operating across West Africa.
Spanning eight intensive months, the initiative, known as Operation Jackal IV, focused on tracking and disrupting the flow of illicit activities orchestrated by criminal gangs operating out of several West African nations.
The mission proved to be a significant success, yielding substantial results in the fight against organized cybercrime. Following the rigorous investigation, Interpol successfully executed 58 arrests and identified a staggering 263 alleged criminals involved in the network.
