WoW Forever Beta: Launch Times and How to Play
Get ready to jump through timelines, because a massive experiment in world-building is about to drop into the World of Warcraft universe. World of Warcraft: Forever is not just another expansion; it’s a new branch of the MMO designed to offer players a truly bizzarro version of Azeroth, promising a fresh adventure that will never stray from the original game’s foundations.
Blizzard is rolling out this ambitious experience in a month-long beta test, giving players an unprecedented chance to explore new quests, dungeons, and class abilities before the official launch in November.
The countdown begins on Thursday, September 17, when the PC beta opens. If you’re ready to dive in, access is available for those who have preordered the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection, or by opting in directly through the official website.
While the exact launch times are still being finalized, expect the game to follow the typical beta schedule, usually launching between 11 am PT and 3 pm PT. You will have nearly a full month to explore the new landscape before the beta concludes on October 21.
How do you gain entry? You can purchase the premium packs directly from Blizzard’s store, or you can sign up on the WoW: Forever website by clicking the Beta Opt-in button. To check your status, simply look for Battle.net and select World of Warcraft: Forever from the dropdown menu.
The beta itself is structured in two exciting phases, designed to gradually introduce new content and systems:
Phase 1: The Foundation (Starting September 17)
The initial phase focuses on introducing core changes, including a level cap of 20. Players will explore new class abilities and talents, acquire new Profession items, and tackle brand-new dungeons such as the Hall of Thanes and the Ruins of Lordaeron. This phase also establishes a crucial legacy system for the new timeline.
Phase 2: Expansion (Starting approximately October 8)
After two weeks, the experience expands! The level cap will be raised to 30, allowing players to continue their journey. This phase introduces even more depth with new class abilities and talents, new Profession items, and a fresh dungeon opportunity: the Excavation Site: Wetlands. The legacy system continues to weave the threads of this new reality.
Throughout both phases, every race and class will be available for play, including the highly anticipated new Skyborne elves, available for those who have preordered the related content.
