Helldivers 2 & KCD:II join PS Plus Extra in August

Every month, PlayStation updates its massive library of games available through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium. As the gaming world digests the previous month’s releases, fans look forward to the next batch of titles, and August proved to be a particularly stellar month for console enthusiasts.

This month’s lineup delivers an exciting mix of massive multiplayer action and deep, immersive role-playing experiences. Prominently featured are the highly anticipated Helldivers 2 and the critically acclaimed Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

The schedule for August provided plenty of content for all tastes. Global players could dive straight into Helldivers 2 immediately, while other gems were scheduled for release across the month. On the 18th of August, subscribers could add Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Vampire Survivors to their library, alongside Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire and the classic Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.

The variety continued as August progressed. Later in the month, players could also access titles like Hell is Us, Dying Light 2, Metro Exodus, Umamusume Pretty Derby – Party Dash, Two Point Museum, and a fun addition to the mix, the game Vomimus.

Among this diverse collection, two titles truly steal the spotlight. Helldivers 2 remains an undeniable force, having amassed over 20 million copies sold. Despite the ebb and flow of fan sentiment over its years, this co-op shooter continues to offer a unique and exhilarating multiplayer experience for all players.

Equally noteworthy is Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Hailed by critics and players alike, this title from Warhorse Studios is celebrated for its authentic RPG mechanics, grounded sense of reality, and deliberate gameplay that demands patience and skill.

Overall, August solidified PlayStation Plus Extra as a month packed with high-quality offerings. Sony has clearly provided a robust selection of games that appeal to both action fanatics and story-driven adventurers. It looks like the console maker is setting a high bar for future content releases.
